Structural Pest Control Service CEUs
Certified Applicators:

CEU requirements are for the calendar year (Jan. 1-Dec.31). For example, if you renew at any time in 2023, you must have taken your CEUs during calendar year 2022. Applicators do not have to get CEUs during the first year in which their license is issued. Applicators must earn two CEUs in general training and one in each category in which the applicator is certified.  Of the two general category units, at least one must be in federal and state laws, pesticide safety, environmental protection or integrated pest management.

No course may be repeated for credit within the same recertification year. CEUs may be obtained through a self-study or Internet course every other year.Certified applicators who do not meet the recertification requirements will have their licenses suspended in all deficient categories for one (1) year or until all deficiencies are corrected, and they must then re-qualify by taking the certification examination.

Agricultural Pesticide Applicator CEUs
Commercial, Noncommercial, Noncommercial Political:

These licenses must be renewed annually.  The licensee must complete 5 CEUs each year to be eligible to renew, with one credit each from two of the following categories: laws and regulations, integrated pest management or drift minimization.

Private, Certified Private:

Private applicator licenses and certificates are valid for five years, and the applicator must obtain 15 CEUs during that time to renew, including two (2) credits in laws and regulations and two (2) credits in integrated pest management (IPM).
